A flyer suffering from heart disease, diabetes or high blood pressure must go for a medical check ? up before boarding a more than three hour flight, sitting in one position for three or more hours can lead to clotting.

you don't ALWAYS need a checkup ... you make these unsupported statements all the time, and quite frankly, i find something incorrect of not thoroughly explained enough to be of substantial benefit ... let's change that ... if you're going to make a claim, back it up, and tell the whole story, and not half ... otherwise these posts are useless ...

yes, sitting or laying for extended periods of time can cause clots as well as other problems ... but with the correct forms of medical IDs and such, one can have permission to move about the aircraft to prevent such problems from occuring ... it's not that you need a checkup, it's that you need to know your own condition well enough to understand what could be some of the consequences of certain activities such as flying ...

i know i constantly say something about diabetes, but there ARE TWO kinds of diabetes ... one you have no control over, it's genetics, and can happen to the fittest and presumed most-healthiest of folks ... the other is often due to obesity, which then would come hand in hand with high blood pressure in most instances ...

They definitely have a ton of warnings on things such as air flights about if you have heart disease you should be careful. I mean, they have them everywhere nowadays...insurance and all. Even if you can get special allowances to move around the airplane, I'm sure anyone with heart problems would themselves want to get checked before doing something like that.

Now...I guess I'm saying this if you don't make regular flights. Obviously regular flight takers wouldn't need to get checked every time.
