If you want to stay healthy then you must get your self a dog. Here is more evidence that dog is a man?s best friend. New research suggests that dog owners live a healthier life, a report on the BBC News Web site said. So, if you are not a dog lover, its time to convert. The companionship offered by many pet?s I thought to be good for you, but the benefits of owning a dog outstrip those of cat owners, the study says.

A psychologist from Queen?s University, said that dog owners tended to have lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Writing in the British journal of health psychology, she says that regular ?walkies? may partly explain the difference.

I dont know..:/ I would have thought an active dog would be better, games of fetch, more running involved. Bending over to pick up the crap. :D

haha, my cat walks faster than half of the little pipsqueek dogs people have nowadays ... he scurries along until he finds grass to eat or something to sniff or birds to watch or cars to hide behind my legs from ... it's slightly amusing, i'm not going to lie ...

Haha, I still find the idea of a cat on a leash strange...Is it a big thing over there?

not at all ... everyone else lets their cat roam the neighborhood ... thus, my cat gets in fights which means my vet bills are outlandish ... so, i decided i wasn't going to pay 500 bucks for my stupid cat to get stitches because some cat came into my yard to fight with him ... he was a stray to begin with ... and he wanted outside ... his option was go out with a collar on a thin leash tethered to a tent stake, or sit and stare forlornly out the window ... i take him on walks around the neighborhood just to give him a change of pace ...

Where I work - there is a cafe across the road where I have my lunch and I nearly choked on my salad - when I saw someone walking a Bunny on a lead :)
