Try out a new fitness class for fun. Enjoy a full water aerobics workout with less stress on your joints. Grab some colorful water gear and swim to the beat. Or try a dance or Jazzercise routine. No need to commit long-term, just ask about popping in for a class or two to check it out and enjoy. Meet new friends and get fit all at once.

That sounds like a quote direct from a gym's marketing brochure lol. But seriously if you havn't excercised for a while there are lots and lots of different classes available at your local gym that may not seem as daunting as a full workout session.

I am not really a fan of these classes. There are too many people with different previous knowledge, aims, fitness and so on. Most of the time the course instructor has no overview and everyone does something else.

Exercising and fun is a very good concept.
Taking up a few dance classes help you to keep your body fit and also is a good way to relax your mind. Music with exercise also does wonders as you dont feel bored while exercising.

the underclassmen at my school are having their "dance" unit in their gym classes, and it's funny how much they hate it ... i've loved dancing ever since i was little ... but not the ballet and studio kinds ... whenever i've got an open or free period, i run down there and steal a guy and make him dance with me ... i love it ...

Dancing is a very good exercise. Different muscles are used when dancing. By moving quickly you get your heart rate up. This exercise challenges your mind and body. More people choose dancing as their regular exercise.

Joining a jazz dance class is very good for those who want to lose some weight. It is very presentational. It offers some degree of athleticism. I have joined this kind of class last year and I am very happy with the results. I have shed some pounds.
