i've hardly known much else besides farming and ranching growing up ... as fun as it can be, it gets very old and tedius at the same time ...

I suppose it would do if you have done it all your life, it would just be fun to do it once, for a couple of weeks to say I had done something like that :)

And I would come over for that mudding thing that sounds like fun ;)

I agree with letting the children have fun. But what if you have a child that is over weight that just wants to watch cartoons and eat all day. How do you motivate them to "have fun'?

that's a good question ... try to involve other peers ... get them into an after school program or something that keeps them involved ... it's great to have your kids home, but sometimes, keeping them out of the home means they're not doing video games and munching from 4 in the afternoon until bedtime ... i know when it was gorgeous outside and i was little and i'd want to stay inside, my mother would literally force me out of the house and into the backyard, and i'd grumble and groan, but then i was in a much better mood for having been outside and run off some of the energy and tension i'd had ...
