You can improve your heart and lung fitness just as much by doing everyday activities such as climbing stairs, as you would during a workout. A different view of simple activities can help make exercises a part of your daily habits.
. If you have a car, park it at the end of the parking lot. This will induce you to walk an extra mile!
. At home, fix a day each week to re-arrange the potted plants.
. Also, select your main routine: walking or doing some demanding chores. Plan the timing and stick to it.
. There may be other trivial chores, which you can work on with added effort.
. Having a short walk before and after snacks or climbing the staircase often does the trick, but being a little more structured helps in channelling the day?s quantum effort.
