i've recently been slacking, which isn't the best of ideas ... i've still got a prom dress to squeeze myself into ... but usually 45 minutes to an hour in the weight room five days a week ... when i was working out at my max, it was about 3 hours ... 1 in the weight room ... running warmups and stretches ... and a long-distance run anywhere for aboug 4-9 miles ... that was, again, 5 days a week ...

naw, i'm just an insane teenager ... i bought a dress off of ebay ... still don't have a date and it's 3 and a half weeks away ... as long as i don't have a repeat of last year, i'll be happy ... my date calls me the morning of prom ... and tells me he's going FISHING, instead of to prom ... lame ... so far, my plans are to get all dolled up ... hop in my truck and head to the mountains for some serious offroading and mudding ... show up to pat's house for pictures (he takes EVERYONE's pictures on prom night) to get a few of me all girlie-like and such, but of course beside my truck ... then cruise over to prom, steal some girls' dates for dances here and there ... cause drama and smile innocently ... that's my special plans ... i don't have a whole lot of anything to bet on me actually getting a date besides my truck ...

Before I broke my ankle I did at least an hour and a half - in the gym and then an exercise class as well later in the day :)

It was well worth it

i think it's gorgeous! i'll put up a pic after prom ... but it's a tight fit through to the knees, and then it flares out from there in a mermaid-effect, i guess they call it ... so if my tummy's not flat, i won't get the zipper up ... GRR ...

and, i do finally have a date ... i told him one day he was taking me ... i've known him since we were in a speech club together in middle school ...

friday afternoon before the prom we're going to go mudding and get his truck absolutely coated ... then we're going to go to a cowboy opera (not sure exactly what it is, but our parents buy tickets to a yearly community concert series which brings in all kinds of acts) ... and then saturday we're going to get pictures taken and drive around town and then go to prom ... not sure, yet, which day we'll do dinner, but it'll be sweet ...

mudding is generally a redneck/hick past-time ... we have strong/powerful/big/old/built trucks that we take into either old fields or into the mountains when there's mud ... and we slide our trucks around and get them covered in mud, and get ourselves covered in mud, get the trucks stuck and winch them out, and do it all over again ... every now and again, the truck'll get entangled with a tree, but it's no biggie, 'cuz they're old crappy trucks to begin with ... basically, that's the gist of it ...
