I will see my hair grow a lot in one month, and then for another month or two it will cease growing.

Am I simply eating something that would stimulate growth? I'm quite confused on this topic. I like it though, because it grows less more than it has a grow spurt, so means I don't have to get a haircut so often Like I did when I was younger.

When I was young, in a week my hair would show very noticeable results in growth.

Thoughts?

with age, hair growth slows down ... usually it's around one's late teens and early twenties ... also, it can be a seasonal thing, as well ... hair often grows the best during the warmer temperatures, it's a stimulation of blood flow ... it also could be connected to how much/how often you exercise, because that stimulates blood flow, as well ... the same holds true that often in the spring and late fall, most people experience a hair "shed", as well ...

Weird. Why would blood flow stimulate growth, if is just dead cells that makes up your hair? I'm definately seeing the growth slowing down overall, thankfully. Those haircuts were starting to get expensive.

I'll be singing a different tune in 20 years

Ha, I don't think I could live with a bald head. For one, it wouldn't grow back that quickly as my hair doesn't grow as much as it used to, but still about average. Secondly, I'm sure my head would get sunburned really fast as I'm sure it gets very little sun.

Not to mention I would look very weird without hair.

at the shaft of the hair, it grows based on blood ... just like your fingernails ... if you slam your fingernail in the car door, you find you end up with a nasty blood blister in your nail and it falls off ... blood is what brings the nutrients to the nail to grow, and the same to the hair shaft ...

My husband is the same hates being hot so he cuts it all off - when we met his hair was like a wild rocker and he cut it off as it was going grey :)

Hair loss is a main problem wih increasing age. what i suggest you , once a week you should massage your hair properly with oil, and see the difference your self.

no its natural. there comes a minimum time period for growing of hairs. do not worry. everyone's hair grows fast when they are small but after getting long it gets ceased..!!
