I have lots of white heads at my nose and some part of my cheeks. Is there any way to remove them? I don't apply moisturizer; does it have anything to do with this? Please help me on this. Thanks.

You mean blackheads? If so, there are scrubs out for your face that contain Salicylic Acid, which will most likely take those away. Benzoyl Peroxide might also help.

Both have been known to irritate skin, so I would be careful. You might see your condition worsen before it gets better, as well. I think there are strips out to pull all of them out, but I haven't seen them for a long time so they were probably discontinued.

I use a clearisil blackhead scrub - and that has done the trick - I use it every day - as I had a lot of black heads - I had a lot of white heads - when I was eating chocolate, and when I gave it up that was it, I have had very few :)

chocolate has been proven to NOT cause acne of any form ... neither do potato chips or other oily foods ...

make sure you wash your face before and after each athletic activity or workout ...

don't use harsh cleansers with lots of alcohol/benzoyl peroxide/salycylic acid ... antibacterial works well for the general face washes, but using one of the above mentioned products once to twice a day will definitely help ...

for anyone who uses makeup, use clean applicators and brushes (i wash mine every weekend) ... also, even if your product hasn't worn out, or dried out, or been fully used, they need to be replaced ... i try to get ahold of the samples, because i rarely use makeup, so instead of spending money on something i won't use, the sample sizes work wonders ... make sure to use water based, and not oil based products ... give your skin time to NOT have anything on it and simply have oxygen ... makeup blocks pores, which can cause the oil buildup which leads to acne ...

I really think that Salicylic Acid is harmful to our skin. I thought this is only used for skin disease such as an-an. I just use prick for all my white heads to come out. It's effective but very painful though.

Salycilic acid isn't really a threat to our skin in general, which is why it is FDA approved. Some people may have a reaction to it, so it isn't for everyone. My cleanser is for sensitive skin, so it doesn't have any active anti-acne ingredients in it. I think my skin is sensitive to such OTC drugs that are spoken of in this topic.
