Recently at work, a fellow employee thought it would be a good idea to bunch a glass bottle. He ended up splitting his knuckle open entirely, and left a suprisingly huge hole right where is knuckle should be.

My question is, does your government offer compensation for such things? He didn't go to the hospital because here in the U.S., it is a LOT of trouble to go through to get compensation.

I doubt it - as the guy did it as an idea to see what would happen .....

in my country he would never have taken any compensation for this. We still have trouble to get compensation from things that obviously are the fault of the employee while in your situation i dunno what could the employee have done to prevent this incident. Maybe he could have fired him.
