A large study of women's diet habits showed that those who ate burgers, bacon or hot dogs at least 5 times a week increased their risk of type 2 diabetes by whopping 43%.

Wow...that's kind of scary. I mean...I'm a guy...but I assume tests in men would produce similar results. I definitely eat those things more than 5 times a week. I guess I don't every week, but there have certainly be weeks where I've spent every night grilling hotdogs or hamburgers on the grill. And bacon...don't even get me started on bacon.

i'm wondering if those burgers and hot dogs are like fast food, or if they're home-cooked ... i know that i purchase as lean of beef as i can, when i have to buy beef ... my beef pretty much comes straight off the hoof of personally raised cattle ... it's so much tastier and leaner ... that and i know what supplements and nutrition went into the meat i'm now eating ... so much a peace of mind ...
