At around 3pm, your energy levels slacken and your eyes wish they could shut? It happen to all of us. Afternoon fatigue occurs due to low blood sugar or dehydration, and can simply stem from boredom or lack of sleep. And no, candy bars or caffeine don?t help. Here is a simple trick to perk up and get back to business.

Drink plenty of water:
Staying hydrated is essential to maintaining energy. So before you head to the vending machine in search of a pick ? me ? up, drink a big glass of water or try a glass of iced tea or cup of hot tea. It hydrates better than coffee and do throw in a snack while you?ve at it, to energize you until dinner.

Wow! From last 15 days I have this problem by 2:30 ? 3:00 every afternoon I feel so sleepy. It?s not sleeplessness, but its so difficult to concentrate on work, so I usually pick up some coffee at such time. Now I?ll try your trick of drinking water. Thanks once again.

Thanks for the tip but I have a hard time drinking water. I'll drink it for maybe 2 days then I'll stop. I even feel better but I just can't get myself to continue. For one thing in Michigan in the winter (cold) I don't get thristy because of the weather. So it's a real struggle.

I'll have to give that a try this week... usually around 3-3:30 I go and get something to eat because like you said, I feel like I need it. But if I can just drink water and not get that treat it will be a lot better. :)
