I`ve read some articles about l-arginine which claims that there is a potential risk of schizophrenia when u use this supplement. I also heard that it can make heart attacks in the future.Very scary isnt it? Anyone knows some better information about this?

Quite honestly, I tried to find out for myself and I found no such articles claiming that L-Arginine can help cause Schizophrenia. The only evidence I found is that if somebody already is schizophrenic, it may intensify and it is recommended to contact your physician before taking any of it.

Deficiency is rare, but signs may include impaired insulin production as well as possible hair loss. People with viral infections such as herpes should NOT take supplemental Arginine. Pregnant and lactating women should avoid l-arginine. Persons with schizophrenia should avoid amounts over 30 mg per day. NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory) should not be combined with L-arginine. If you need more information please discuss with your Doctor/Health Care Professional."

As long as you stay within a safe dosage, you should be fine taking L-Arginine. Always start out with a low dosage.
