I'll be honest, I've never had sherbert in my life from what I can remember until a few days ago. Yep. 18 years of no sherbert. I tried a 3-flavored sherbert from an ice cream restaurant, and instantly fell in love.

The sherbert is much more chewy, and 'gooey' than ice cream. When you bite it, it doesn't feel as cold as ice cream would.

Why isn't sherbert more popular than it is? I ended up going back twice for more sherbert later on that day. It's addicting!

I used to eat it with liquorise (sp) and you used to suck it and then dip it in the sherbert oh my god the memories yummy

That certainly looks different, I haven't tried those. Is it just a kind of candy you dip in sherbert? Sounds like it might be good. Where can you get such an item? Walmart perhaps?

Or maybe it isn't in the U.S., I find it strange I haven't seen them or much of sherbert at all in my life.

The ones with licorice are the best they last longer and you could get them in black or Red - I loved the red ones like you could get the shoe laces long thick shoe laces

Odd, this is the only sherbert you know of? The kind of sherbert I was talking about is a lot like ice cream, in fact you could confuse it for ice cream very easily like I did. It is more smooth and chewy than ice cream though.

Ahh, I see there is a difference here culturally. Yes, I am talking about sorbet. Here in the United States we refer to it as sherbert. The dust that fizzles on your tongue we call pop rocks, I share your love for them as well.

Sorbet is gorgeous, i have it as my dessert option when we go out to a resturant. I love the lemon one yummy just melts on the tounge and leaves that little bit on your tounge mmmmmm
