I came across this page on a magazine saying that raisins are good for the brain. I have searched on the internet about this but I did not find any proof. Anybody who has an idea on this? I don't know why the magazine published that article if it?s not true.

You could literally say just about anything is good for you brain. Water is good because it hydrates you. Food is good because it nourishes you. Raisins are good because they give you nutritional value.

Raisins don't necessarily have to have a help in the brain's functioning to be able to be classified as being good for the brain. Kind of an indirect association type thing.

My son loves them - he will sit and eat a big packet if I let him - but I won't - as I am a mean mummy and would want him to eat some fruit as well :)

But I love them :)

I love them and can eat them until the cows come home - I add them to most things like salads and stuff like that :) and deserts too :)

The kids love the little packets of them - and can sit there really quiet and eat them :)

I had rasins with my breakfast this morning - I had them with special K :) naughty but very nice. gave it a different taste though :)

I did do it this morning :)

My son said could he have it with his weetabix this morning -- bless him - he goes this is yummy

raisins are usually dried/dehydrated grapes ... they still have all the nutritional values as eating the actual grape, just minus the liquids ...

Yes, I almost forgot about it. Raisins are really dried grapes. A lot of kids loved raisins. This could be one way they could eat fruits. My sister hates fruits but she loved raisins.

i do not eat raisins, i hate them actually, although i am a huge fan of grapes. I also think that when dried the grapes lose their vitamins, but i am not sure though...
Never heard they are beneficial for brain, but even they are i will not include them into my diet.

they don't lose any nutritional value ... dehydration does not remove nutritional value, whereas boiling/steaming/cooking and other processes will ...

what is this..??? may i know more information about this....?? english is not my native language, so that may be i am not so clear with that word..!!
