i'm definitely a butter lover, but i don't eat a lot of foods that generally call for it ...

for those looking to cut down on their butter intake, or switch to spreads or something similar like margarine, this is why i do ...

i take a little bit or orange and a little bit of lemon juice, with a little bit of orange and lemon peel and mix it with the spread ... some of the products i've tried have been so nasty i've mixed in a couple tablespoons of powdered sugar, too ...

I can cook basics but i haven't got time to experiment if that makes sence - but I might start as everything sounds so nice :)

for me, that's what i do pretty much all summer and on any free weekends ... something in the kitchen just lures me to it ... i often see a recipe idea i like, but it's been forever since i've actually used a recipe and measured things to a T ...

i know how much of certain ingredients are necessary to work together to make the right outcome ... and i know what ingredients i'm more fond of ...

i do not like butter, it does not have a place in my diet. Occasionally i may use it especially if i do not see other viable alternative, but i see no point into eating a bunch of fats.
the only thing more disgusting than butter in my diet, is the so called, margarine- which i avoid at all times, and i don? remember when was the last time i have eaten it.

in moderation, there's nothing wrong with it ... others will argue there are healthier fats to consume, but what fun is life if you can't indulge every now and again ...

I agree with you but if you eat butter so much you can have a hearth attack in the future. The east side of my country has very high rate of heart attack just because of this.

hence the word, MODERATION ... meaning you don't eat it every day, every meal, and one cup of it on one slice of toasted bread ...

if you eat sensibly and exercise, a few so-called "bad" things here and there are not going to cause a heart attack ...

butter alone can rarely cause clogged arteries enough to cause a heart attack, it's often in conjunction with other fatty and cholesterol-high foods ...

Well I don't just sit there and eat plain butter, but I do like to have butter on bread or sometimes on my toast or bagels underneath peanut butter :)
