My daughter's appetite for eating is not that good. She seldom likes to eat solid food. all she wants is her milk. What food supplement is best to give her? How can I change her appetite?

it comes with time ... i refused to eat much of anything solid while growing up ... it was the texture, i'd imagine, i wasn't too keen on ... try offering her jellos and puddings and things that have a soft texture ... applesauce was always, and still is a favorite ... puree her meats and mix with milk if needed ... give it a try, it can't hurt ...

Yep yep, it comes with time. For starters tho...At regular feeding times, gradually try to get her exposed to solid foods and attempt to feed her. Don't force upon it though. Over time, it'll grow on her and she will see solid foods as her primary source rather than the milk itself. As for actual solid foods...I would try a wide range of different sorts of meals such as baby cereal, fruits, puddings, etc. Just make sure you introduce new foods once at a time to check for any allergic reaction. I wouldn't worry on it too much for now since breast milk or formula will provide enough essential nutrients for proper nutrition during the first year. But I would still work on introducing new solid foods gradually. Like all things, patience is the key. ;)

You should leave things in a bowl like - fruit - Bananas and apples as I amsure she would have teeth now wouldn't she ??

that is what i did with my son as he wouldn't eat much to start with so I started leaving things around the room that he could get hold of - and he started picking it up and eating it :) the first time he picked up a banana his face was a picture and he looked at me and came for mine .

Does she look at the things you eat ?? have you tried eating in front of her ??maybe she would want what you are eating :)

be careful that snacking won't interfere with allotted meal times, tho ...

your last point is a good one that i'd forgotten about ... even if your kids are in highchairs, place them around the table to feed them ... give them a bite of their food, and take some of yours ... intergrate a little bit of SOLID, regular food onto their tray in addition to the softer foods ...
