I love to drink coke. Which would you prefer diet or classic? My cousin always prefers diet coke. But I have heard that this contains some chemicals which cause cancer. Do you think there is truth to this?

diet coke contains artifical sweeteners, as with any diet soda ... the articial sweeteners, when consumed in fairly unhealthy doses, have been seen to have negative health affects, with the biggest being cancer ...

Really? Diet coke has negative health effects such as cancer? We never knew this. We are used to drink coke every meal. So my cousin drinks at least 710ml of diet coke everyday. I think we should lessen this now.

Would this include the Splenda brand sweetener? Because we use this kind of sweetener in my household, for the sole purpose of thinking it is better than regular sugar.

Frightening to hear this, hope I'm not prone to cancer

yes, because Splenda is an artificial sweetener ...

honestly, i've found regular sugar to be a lot nicer on my body ... my stomach doesn't mesh well with artificial sweeteners, they make me feel ill ... diet sodas and flavored waters taste weird to me ...

if you use artificial sweeteners to think you can consume more of it than you can of regular sugars, it's still the wrong way of thinking ...

regular sugar isn't great for you, but in MODERATION, it's just fine ...
